Dénia is divided in the following geographical areas:
The city, with the port in front. The first beaches of les Marines and les Rotes are nearby and you can either choose to walk or to take a regular bus.
Les Marines is Dénia’s northern area where you will find most sandy beaches. It is the par excellence tourist area and its beaches run for about 14 km.
Les Rotes is Dénia’s southern area where you will find sandy beaches and several rocky coves. It is a residential area and, to a lesser degree, it disposes of tourist accommodation. It has a 4 km long strip of beaches. A regular bus transport service is available.
Mount Montgó’s side: This part is out of the Natural park’s limits and it is a mainly a residential area and, to a lesser extent, it offers tourist accommodation. There isn’t any regular public transport service and one must rely on private transport or a taxi.
District villages and outskirts: these are the villages of la Xara, Jesús Pobre and la Pedrera. There is a regular public bus transport service from Monday to Friday and a train to la Xara.
Dénia Inland area: in the surroundings of la Xara, Jesús Pobre, etc.
Low rise buildings abound in Dénia and give the town a characteristic prestigious seal, which must be added to superb weather conditions, natural resources and the rest of the tourist offer, which place this city in a privileged place in the ranking.
